Langston has been conducting, directing and leading from the keyboards for over 30 years in most of Scotlands theatres and concert halls. Productions range from the Scottish Premiere of Marguerite to playing the piano at Paul McCartneys premiere of The Liverpool Oratorio. A highlight in Langstons musical direction career would be as M.D for the musical Shenakie by Sally Beamish for the Highland Quest, produced by Cameron Mackintsoh.
In 2021 Dr Langston was nominated by the Merchant Voices Choir in the category of Best Musical Director for the Making Music Awards 2021. He was over the moon to reach the final eleven in the category of choral conductors.
